Briefing boards on terminal crowding
How to present crowding findings without drowning a board pack in charts.
Board members rarely need every heatmap. They need the decision: accept the crowding, move a temporary measure, or fund a layout change.
Lead with the passenger moment that fails first—bag reclaim spillback, gate lounge standing room, or kerbside dwell. One photograph and one time series often suffice.
Keep methodology in an appendix. Front pages should state the observation dates, the peak definition you used, and the recommendation in one paragraph.
End with what you will measure after any change. Crowding briefs that close the loop earn the next invitation.
